The History of the Event
The idea began in 2019, the first TCIC event was held in 2021.

What was the reason the TCIC was created?
- To allow top US-born players to play for their heritage and showcase their talents in hopes to be seen by National Olympic Teams.
- To allow top US-born players to play for their heritage for countries they will never be able to play for due to the country's political status.
Who can play in this event?
Any chosen player born in the US with ties to another country or countries. There are different divisions, and not all countries are represented, but we plan to continue to grow and add more countries each year.
What are the requirements to play on a team?
You must meet 2 of the following criteria:
-Player must have been born in the USA or Canada. Or be a US Citizen.
-Player has a parent that was born in the country she wants to represent
-Player has a Grandparent that was born in the country she wants to represent
-Player has a Great Grandparent that was born in the country she wants to represent*
-For Israel only, it's based on your Jewish faith.

How are teams picked?
Players complete an interest form, then head coaches of each team choose from the players list to create their roster.
What is the difference between a TCIC team and a National Team?
The National teams are created and put together by the country's federations. The teams are composed of players representing the country in National, International, and Olympic play. The WBSC governs these teams.
USA vs World Game Information

The International challenge USA Team will play the ALL World Team. This is an All-Star style game, which was created to bring countries together through their passion of softball for one last closing ceremony to the International Challenge.
Coaches Chosen:
For the USA Team, the highest seed USA team will be the head coach, the 2nd highest will be the assistant coach. Total coaches allowed 4.
For the World Team, the highest seed 18u World team will be the head coach. The Head Coach will then ask ANY of the other non-USA team's head coaches to be his or her assistant. Total coaches allowed 4.
How are players chosen?
For The USA Team: Players from both 18u and 16u will be combined for this special game.
For The World Team: Head Coaches from the 18u World Teams will recommend 3 players to play on the ALL WORLD TEAM.
The top 16u
The head coaches from the World Teams will nominate 3 players for the ALL WORLD Team. The first ranked World Team will have 3 players on the ALL WORLD Team, second ranked World Team will have 2 players on the ALL WORLD TEAM. All other World teams will have at least one representative player on the ALL WORLD Team. The Head coach of the ALL WORLD Team will select players based on position etc. within the above guidelines.
